Inclusion Starts With Saying "Yes"

When people think about inclusion in sport, they often think it's complicated. The truth is, it doesn't have to be.

Sometimes, inclusion starts with something as simple as giving someone the opportunity to take part.

I've seen first-hand how many people with disabilities want to get involved in sport but don't know where to start. Some think there isn't a place for them, while others have been told "no" too many times or simply haven't had the opportunity. That's something we need to change.

At Keepz Sports, we believe sport should be open to everyone. It shouldn't matter who you are, your ability, or your background and everyone deserves the chance to get involved, make friends, learn new skills, and enjoy being active.

That's why we're passionate about creating more opportunities. Whether it's a football session, a coaching course, a school programme, volunteering, or an apprenticeship, our goal is to make it as easy as possible for people to join in and feel like they belong.

Inclusion isn't about lowering standards or treating people differently. It's about removing unnecessary barriers and making sure everyone has a fair chance to take part.

The good news is that more organisations are starting to recognise the importance of inclusive sport, but there's still plenty of work to do. Together, we can create more opportunities, reach more people, and make sport something that truly is for everyone.

This blog is where I'll share ideas, experiences, and stories from the Keepz Sports community. I'll talk about what's working, the challenges we face, and the amazing people proving every day that sport has the power to change lives.
